The Bethlehem Light of Peace relay is underway, where it is passed on by Polish scouts to many delegations and communities that disperse it throughout Poland. On Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the hands of the Deputy Head of the ZHP, Mr. Anna Pospieszna, they were also accepted by the National Board of Catholic Action.

The transmission of this year’s Light of Peace is accompanied by the message “Let us make peace.”

It encourages us to reflect more deeply on what peace is. How difficult this becomes in the face of ongoing wars. The eternal light from the Grotto of the Nativity in Bethlehem becomes a symbol of undying hope. The Bethlehem Light of Peace and Hope accompanied the KIAK Management Board during the last meeting in 2023.

This pre-Christmas meeting was an opportunity to thank the entire Management Board for serving the Church through the work of Catholic Action carried out nationally, but also for every work undertaken in diocesan and parish structures. During this joyful meeting of the National Board of Catholic Action, the wafer was broken and mutual wishes were exchanged.

The working part of the meeting discussed the preparation of reporting and closing the year 2023, as well as the preparation of further initiatives, including the introduction of the relics and the image of Blessed. St. Starowieyski to the Temple of Divine Providence in Warsaw and the meeting of the National Council of Catholic Action scheduled for February 9-11, 2024.
