I would now like to extend my cordial greetings to the members of the “International Forum of Catholic Action”, gathered in Rome to reflect on the commitment of the Christian in today’s society. This initiative sees today, for the first time, the participation of representatives from various nations of Eastern Europe and Latin America. My heartfelt wish is that this meeting may serve as an incentive for you to bear effective witness to the Gospel message, to animate the temporal order in a Christian manner and to make a decisive contribution to the building of a more just and fraternal world.
