The XXVIII National Pilgrimage of Catholic Action to Jasna Góra is now in history. I would like to thank all participants – Members of Catholic Action and Supporters of the Association as well as Guests – for their presence, common prayer and witness of faith in this difficult time for the Church, for Catholics and for Poland.
I thank the Bishops, His Excellency Bishop Ignacy Dec for presiding at the Holy Mass on the Jasna Góra peak on Saturday 15 June, and His Excellency Bishop Marek Mendek, the National Assistant of Catholic Action, the Bishop of Świdnica, for being present during the meeting of the Board of KIAK, for celebrating the Holy Mass in the Chapel of the Queen of Poland and the encouraging words, for staying with us during the Jasna Góra Appeal. I thank all the priests present – Diocesan and Parish Assistants of Catholic Action, who came with the pilgrims to pray together in front of the Throne of Our Lady of Jasna Gora and to ask for necessary graces.
I thank the Pauline Fathers, the Hosts of Jasna Góra, with the Father General, the Prior and the Custos at the head, for their hospitality and kindness during all the years of our presence in the Sanctuary.
I thank the Presidents and Members of the Catholic Action, who took the trouble to prepare the organisational and prayerful march, and a special word of thanks to Father Jarosław Sroka of Poczesna for leading the rosary reflections. I thank the diocesan and parish flagpoints; I thank Catholic Action of the Diocese of Radom for organising a flag post for the Banner of Catholic Action in Poland and standing by it throughout the ceremony. I thank Catholic Action of the Diocese of Sandomierz for leading, once again for many years, the night prayer vigil in the Chapel of Our Lady. I thank the Orchestra from Olsztyn Jurajski, which enriched the time of the march, and all those who contributed in any way so that the experience of this year’s pilgrimage of Catholic Action to Jasna Góra was not only a prayer meeting, but that, following in the footsteps of previous years, it had its own level and style, which is a visible sign of the presence of Catholic Action in Poland.
In conclusion, I would like to thank Mr Adam Stawiarski for his rich photo chronicle depicting the events during this year’s two-day pilgrimage. Looking at the photos, we can say with a smile: let’s experience it again!
Christ reign over us!
Andrzej Kamiński
President of Catholic Action in Poland
