Lord Jesus,
we thank you
for these 30 years
of the International Forum of Catholic Action
Help us, with the power of your Spirit,
to renew our presence, in all
the countries we are living in,
and to experience the sweet and comforting
joy of evangelizing.
Give us the grace to guard
the Common Home which the Father entrusted to us,
journeying on happily and confidently
along the way to holiness,
following the so many friends who went before us.
Strengthen our service in the dioceses,
so that, together with Bishops, priests and lay people,
we may be a “gymnasium” of synodality,
in the heart of cities, villages and neighbourhoods
Give us a Samaritan heart
so that we may know how to “become a neighbour” to everyone,
building bonds of fraternity and social friendship
especially with the neediest and the poorest.
Strengthen our families with your grace,
enkindle in our young people’s hearts zeal for your Gospel,
caress our children tenderly
and encourage our elders with your presence.
So that, aboard the same boat,
united as brothers,
we may go through these trying times,
as witnesses of hope and as builders of a humanity,
renewed with love, service and prayer.
We entrust ourselves to Mary
and we ask the intercession of Saint Joseph,
in union with our saints, blessed and faithful witnesses.
