CONTEXT AND JUSTIFICATION
RAJEC (Réseau des Anciens Jécistes du Cameroun) organises its National General Assembly (NGA) every 3 years. The last one took place in Foumbot in the diocese of Bafoussam in 2021 and was closed with the adoption of the new statutes of RAJEC, the election of the President of the Board Committee and of the Accountant and many other resolutions were taken, including the choice of the Diocese of Ngaoundéré to host the 19th edition of the National General Assembly in 2024.
So, after the mid-term General Assembly in Bamenda in 2022 and the one in Yagoua in 2023, Ngaoundéré is the most important of the three events. It promises to be grandiose, given the expectations of RAJEC members and the context in which the association has been operating since 2021.
The NGA precedes the Pan-African General Assembly of RAJA (Réseau des Anciens Jécistes d’Afrique), which will take place in Ndjamena, Chad, from 3 to 10 August 2024.
The choice of holding the NGA from 30 July to 02 August was therefore justified by the need to ensure coordination between the two assemblies and to organise the participation of Rajecists in the pan-African event in Ndjamena.
In view of RAJEC’s objectives and its developments over recent years, as well as its challenges, the theme of this year’s AGN is as follows: “Financing and self-financing of RAJEC: practices, lessons learned and prospects for more effective evangelising action”.
This theme will lead Rajecists and participants to reflect on the need to mobilise financial resources to give RAJEC the necessary scope for its evangelising action through the Christian witness of its members.

OBJECTIVES
The general objective is to reflect on the general functioning of RAJEC in an essentially changing social and religious context, to draw lessons from its commitments since the last AGN and to define perspectives for the next triennium.
Specifically, the following objectives should be achieved at the AGN:
– To describe the context in which RAJEC has worked between the two General Assemblies and to draw lessons from it;
– To examine the positive and negative aspects of the association’s management;
– To present the major changes that have taken place in the Church and their consequences for the proclamation of the Good News;
– To examine the various annual reports and to draw from them the points of evolution on which RAJEC intends to build its next action plan;
– To take note of investment projects and their short-, medium- and long-term prospects;
– To carry out a large-scale action for the diocese of Ngaoundéré.
