On Monday 24 February, the third anniversary of the large-scale Russian invasion, Emanuela Gitto, national vice-president of the Italian Catholic Action youth sector, and some members of Azione Cattolica Bologna left for Ukraine.

From the Bologna CA attended: Daniele Magliozzi, diocesan president; Fr Stefano Bendazzoli, CA unitary assistant and FUCI Bologna assistant; Nicola Fava and Andrea Alberoni, who coordinated the reception of the group of Ukrainians in Bologna.

A long journey in the sign of dialogue, #prayer and solidarity that began in the city of Lviv, continued to Ternopil, Zarvanytsia and Kyiv.
Accompanying them was Father Roman Demusch, deputy head of the youth pastoral office of the #Greek Catholic Ukrainian Church.

Many meetings and places visited during these days: the Major Seminary, the military cemetery, the oratory and the Salesian Youth Centre in Lviv. The Cathedral, the #Caritas centre in Ternopil and the Shrine of Zarvanytsia.

There were many voices and testimonies gathered during the meetings with the local #communities, Ukrainian youth from the Youth Pastoral and the Apostolic Nuncio, Visvaldas Kulbokas.

A long journey to show closeness to the Church and the Ukrainian people, an experience of faith and listening to continue to #build bridges of hope and #peace.
