During the 397th Plenary Meeting of the Polish Bishops’ Conference held in Warsaw on 13-14 March 2024, the bishops elected the president of Catholic Action in Poland, for the next VIII term in the years 2024-2028. They entrusted this honourable and responsible function to Mr Andrzej Kaminski, president of Catholic Action of the Bielsko-Żywiec Diocese. Our sincere congratulations!

Andrzej Kamiński, Diocese of Bielsko – Żywiecka
He is married. He lives in Dankowice. Wilamowice municipality. Bielski County. Silesian voivodship.
He graduated from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, Faculty of Mining and Metallurgical Machines. His professional path was connected with education. He worked as a teacher, inspector of vocational schools and director of the Educational Institutions Service Complex in Czechowice-Dziedzice. He worked for more than a year as Director for Organisation and Operations of the Municipal Enterprise and Transport in Czechowice-Dziedzice.
Since 1996 he has been a member of the Catholic Action of the Bielsko-Żywiec Diocese in the parish of St. Adalbert in Dankowice.
Parish in Dankowice. He holds the position of president of POAK. Since 2006, he has been President of the Board of the Diocesan Institute of Catholic Action of the Bielsko-Żywiec Diocese. He is a long-standing member of the National Institute of Catholic Action.
For many years he was a local government councillor (district councillor and then councillor of the Silesian Voivodeship Assembly). He has been a member of the Law and Justice party since 2010. From 2015 to 2019, he was a senator in the ninth term of the Senate of the Republic of Poland. From 24 June 2021 to 22 February 2024, he was deputy mayor of Bielsko County. As of 23 February 2024, he retired.
