ONE MINUTE FOR PEACE (UMPP) is 10 years old and is, unfortunately, very timely.
We invite everyone to participate and promote this simple proposal that addresses everyone where we are.
“At 1:00 PM we are invited to dedicate a minute for peace — in prayer, for believers; in reflection, for non-believers — everyone together for a more fraternal world. Thanks go to Catholic Action International, which is promoting this initiative.” Pope Francis, 2019
Below you find an invitation to pray and more information in the CONCEPT.

UMPP is an initiative first launched on 6 June 2014 at 1pm, in support of the ‘Invocation for Peace’ meeting promoted by Pope Francis on 8 June in the Vatican Gardens together with the President of Israel (Simon Peres), the President of the Palestinian Authority (Maḥmūd ʿAbbās – Abu Mazen), with the Patriarch of Constantinople (Bartholomew I).
Since 2015, we have remembered the day of the meeting on 8 June 2014, and the Pope has encouraged us to intensify our daily commitment as ‘peacemakers’ every year on 8 June, spreading the invitation to all.
In the photogallery you will find the flyers in the various languages that we receive from all over the world and material on the initiatives that are organised in the various countries.
