The Giuseppe Toniolo International Law for Peace Institute, together with the Italian Catholic Action and the International Forum of Catholic Action, is organising an International Conference on the topic ‘Pax et bonum. Building peace for the common good, on the lines of the international law‘. This is being held in Rome (Sala San Pio X – Via dell’Ospedale 1 corner of Via della Conciliazione on Sunday 8 June 2025 from 5.30 p.m. to 8.00p.m.

The Conference is being held at the conclusion of the Jubilee for Associations and Movements and on the occasion of the initiative One Minute for Peace which IFCA has been holding every 8 June since 2014. Precisely on the 8 June, Pope Francis organised a meeting with the then President of Israel, Shimon Peres, the President of the Palestinian National Authority, Maḥmūd ʿAbbās – Abu Mazen and the Patriarch of Constantinople, Bartholomew I in the Vatican Gardens to pray for peace.

From June 2024 to May 2025 we propose OMFP on the 8th day of each month.
