An appeal for prayers on the 1st September

The Catholic Action Associations around the world, united in the International Forum of Catholic Action, launch an appeal for prayer and invitee to plan initiatives in cooperation with others during the season of creation 2024 To hope and act with creation, then, means above all to join forces and to walk together with all men and women of good will. In this way, we can help to rethink, “among other things, the question of human power, its meaning and its limits”.

Message of his Holiness Pope Francis for the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation

IFCA is member of Laudato Si’ Movement

The Season of Creation is a time to renew our relationship with our Creator and all creation through celebration, conversion, and commitment together. During the Season of Creation, we join our sisters and brothers in the ecumenical family in prayer and action for our common home.

The season starts 1 September, the Day of Prayer for Creation, and ends 4 October, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of ecology beloved by many Christian denominations.

During these personal and communitarian prayer meetings we recommend the recitation of the Christian Prayer in union with creation found in the Encyclical Laudato si’ (246), with the magnificent hymn by Saint Francis (Laudato si’ 87)
